UV light

Postby Carlson » Wed Jan 31, 2018 5:58 pm

My husband used taper kifer method, after 3 tries of using usual method, he is symptom free for three months. Does UV light kill c diff? We are trying to use it on items like leather. Thanks so much for being there for us!

Looking at your older posts I think you mean Vancomycin taper and Kefir as a probiotic.
Some hospitals use a specialised "robot" UV light to kill c.diff, it's nothing like the domestic UV lights available in stores, it's also USED IN ADDITION to physical cleaning and not as an alternative.
Exposure to strong UV can cause skin damage, blindness and even cancer so I don't think anyone should try it at home.
3 months out is great, almost certainly there's no contamination unless your husband was incontinent and soiled the items with visible fecal matter.
A simple wipe clean is all that's needed.
