Hi,

I got diagnosed with crohns 8 years ago. After 6 months of failed hospital treatment I they performed surgery on my small instestine (iluem, which is the last part) . 2 Years later it came back with "massive" inflammation with ulceration. No medication has helped so far. I have diarrhea from time to time but not severe symptoms.

My doctor made me do a stool test few months ago that showed that Cdifficile is positiv in my stool but luckily NO Cdifficile toxins. Doctor never mentioned anything about it so I thought it's no problem. Today I stumbled upon this forum and it got me thinking. Should I try to treat Cdifficile?

Positive for bacteria but negative for toxin is a negative test result.
Treating could and probably would make it worse.

I agree with Roy. I test positive for the bacteria and negative for toxins and am not treating. I think your doctor would have treated if it was necessary.
