How long does it take for the abdominal pain to subside after being on antibiotics? I'm on my 5th recurrence. Been on vancomycin for exactly one week and my abdomen is quite tender. I'm not having diarrhea anymore, but am wondering when the pain will subside.
We have tried a vancomycin taper 3 times, difficide once and xifaxan once. None have worked. I want to try zinplava next, but my doctor has no experience with it and is reluctant to approve it. She is consulting with the infectious disease specialist about the zinplava.
If you have had success with zinplava please let me know.
At my next appointment I want to discuss a difficide taper. I can't try xifaxan as the insurance company denied coverage, although they approved it the first time.

Until now we didn't have posters that were treated with Zinplava. Cnatra is scheduled to get a Zinplava infusion after he finishes the course of Dificid . We are all very curious to see how he will respond to the treatment.

Has anyone else tried Zinplava?

I am not aware of anyone else except the one poster recently. It's new and physician's are slow to try new treatments especially dealing with the insurance for approval.

You can PM Cnatra , he received 1 infusion of Zinplava during his Dificid course.
