Anybody else have a very long time between first symptoms and diagnosis?

GI Dr think this cdiff is the source of all my adominal problem which started in 1992. Is it possible the many drs Ive seen missed it?

If Cdiff would have been active since 1992 , you might have not been alive by now . Cdiff is a serious infection , untreated it can become life threatening.

You might want to see a new GI dr....just sayin', as they say.
I agree with Georgina.
You could be a carrier that long but then you wouldn't be sick so it wouldn't have given you problems.

If your problems were intermittent, it is possible that you have c diff spores that would from time to time, "germinate" and cause you some symptoms. That still happens to me, but that is not the type of c difficile that needs treating. I would get a second opinion as the others suggested.
