Kefir (question)

Postby logan1 » Sun Apr 09, 2017 1:59 pm

I was doing fine for almost 3 days. I bought this lifeway's kefir plain yesterday as a probiotic supplement drink. I drank 1 cup this morning in an empty stomach and after 5-10 minutes I had abdominal cramps. I'm not sure if I should have eaten something first before drinking the kefir. I'm not sure if you guys experience this? I'm mean I'm ok now after taking gas x and zofran. I'm a just too sensitive. Any thoughts? I'm a bit scared of drinking another cup later today. I was thinking of drinking 2 cups in a day (AM & PM).

I am recovering from my c-diff. Last ABT (vanco, liquid) 3/24/17.

Kefir is a good source of probiotics but unfortunately some people don't do well with it. It's been two years since I cannot have kefir or yogurt without getting massive bloating and lots of gas , and I'm not lactose intolerant as I have no issues eating cheese or butter.

Try it with food and only half a cup.
