Dificid is an antibiotic (antibiotics are medicine) that is only used to combat c.diff.
It's very narrow spectrum and causes minimal damage to the "good" flora.
The aim of all treatment is to reduce the c.diff to a level where the natural good flora can overcome the c.diff that is left behind (or any newly acquired c.diff) and return the balance of healthy gut flora to normal.
It's very expensive!

Soimez, food is NOT medicine. And "everyone's body is different" is NOT sensible guidance in clinical situations with established, data-based protocols.
If your illness was preceded by use of a medication, e.g., an antibiotic, please fill out an FDA Adverse Event Report at http://www.fda.gov/Safety/MedWatch/default.htm
