Thanks for the positive vibes!!

My doctor is recommending that I take 2 Imodium 2 hours before the procedure and one after. He said there are no set guidelines but he’s really been researching and said that he found its recommended to take Imodium. Does that dosing sound right to you guys who have used this method? For the first FMT he told me not to take Imodium after I asked about it. (I saw people had been doing it on here), so he dug around and actually saw I was right!

Does 2 before and 1 after sound reasonable though?

My doctor never mentioned Imodium to me and I wish he had. I know several who have done what your doctor is suggesting. I think it’s a good idea. Best wishes to you!!

Yes, I took two before and I think two after or maybe it was one after. It was years ago and I don't remember. That is the protocol that most doctors seem to follow.

I have also taken imodium before and after the procedure , even though my doc told me that it's not necessary . Imodium helped me retain the FT for 24 hours.

Good to know! Say some prayers and send good vibes for this one to work! The worst part is the prep! My procedure is Friday at 12.

Well had my FMT. I held it in for 2.5 hours. He put 3/4 of the slurry at the beginning of my colon and some at the end of my anal intestine. Took my Imodium. Literally TRIED MY BEST to hold it in longer. Couldn’t. But I held it in longer than the first one! Hoping I’ll be cured!!

So i passed the brown liquid (what i assume was the FMT). Now 6 hours after FMT my stomach is rumbly and I’m passing a yellowish/brown mucus. I can’t remember for the life of me if this happened last time.
Of course I’m freaking myself out! Lol. I’m sure this is normal, especially because he said i still had some prep in there too.

I would not worry. I'm sure it is still part of the slurry and the laxative prep also works for a while. You held it in long enough.

Best of luck. I’m sure this time will work. It will be a good way to start the new year.
