My insurance does not cover FMT. I was wondering if anyone has had any success with doing the procedure at home? Especially for recurrent C. DIff.
I've had 5 reoccurances and it is unlikely that this will go away without the FMT. I already have a donor in mind.
Has anyone had success with a Home FMT?

Your insurance should cover a colonoscopy if your Dr says you need one.
Your doners insurance should cover the doner testing.
That just leaves a small contribution.
It's just a matter of the way your Dr words the insurance claim.

When I had FMT via colonoscopy, it was billed out as a colonoscopy and my insurance covered it. I have done home FMT enemas, but if you can get a colonoscopy FMT, it would be better.
