I'm hearing that in some hospitals you can no longer choose your donor. I'm sorry, but that just won't fly with me. My ideal donor would be my brother, he's a good weight and is healthy.
I'm guessing I'll just have to ask the hospital directly, unless the rules changed for everyone?
Can I still choose my donor? Confusion.

Check with the hospital. Most hospitals use OpenBiome and if you want to use your own donor, your doctor does the procedure at an endoscopy center. I would also check with your doctor.

Oh geez, I guess I'm going to have to get established with a doc in Chicago then. I'm pretty sure mine isn't willing to do that. Thanks!

So far you have been treated 2 years ago for asymptomatic c.diff.
Don't worry about the methods or availability of FMT at this time.
Your a long way off from being considered as needing an FMT.
At the moment you don't have any reason for treating and don't have c.diff colitis.
