Finally!

Postby Overthis » Tue Sep 06, 2016 2:30 pm

So my Gi dr just called and said my cdiff test came back negative. I had an fmt almost 2 weeks ago but couldn't hold it for long. The reason i was retested was a week after my fmt (colonoscopy) i developed very loose bm with lots of m (sorry tmi) and my dr wanted to check so if i was positive we could do another fmt asap. I'm very lucky because since my fmt my bowel habits have done a complete 360 to where I'm almost perfectly regular. I'm finally starting to leave my house and go do things. I think the fmt even helped my prior ibs-d.

Awesome news! Did you use open biome or a family member for your donor? Could you tell us your doctor's name so others could contact them if they need help?

I use Digestive Care Center in Evansville indiana. I actually see a nurse practitioner but Dr Gislason is the one who did my fmt. They do use open biome.

It seems that the FMT has done the trick , glad it worked so well , now you are in recovery! Remember , recovery can be tricky so if you will have one or two off days , try not to panic.Wishing you continuous improvement!

Great news! Hopefully this nightmare will soon be a very distant memory!
