Sitting here at the lab again. ugh. Month 9 of c diff and counting (no test results yet, but I'm pretty sure...). Anyway, after my long taper/pulse of vanco I guess its time to try something else. Does anyone have experience with openbiome fmt capsules? I can't find much info other than openbiome's marketing material. The thought of a capsule (or 30) is much more appealing to me than colonoscopy/enema. Good luck all.

I have not had to make that decision.
But all the info that I have studied says the colonoscopy route has the best outcome.

Re: openbiome fmt capsules
I went through Openbiome for my fmt. My specialist had me tap 10 pills that were very frozen. Im currently 2 weeks and a half out. I still have feversn weakness, and really bad cramping. The diarrhea has turned to constipation. I took a c.diff test 5 days later and it said neg. Dr is having me take another stool test tomorrow since i still have symptoms.

If you are testing again tomorrow ask to be tested for other pathogens along with the Cdiff test.
