Fecal transplant enemas

Postby gwang » Thu May 26, 2016 5:59 pm

What are everyone's thoughts on FMT at home enemas? They are under a drs. supervision.

C-diff negative, but have PI-IBS that is significantly reduced by 500B lacto/bifido probiotics/day. Don't want to spend $200/month on probiotics and think it's still a gut Dysbiosis issue.

Looking at all your previous posts I would say your panicking yourself into a "treatment" that is relativley untested and not FDA approved.
Some say it cured c.diff but most also add that they have been left with almost exactly the same symptoms that you have now.
If probiotics are eliminating most of your symptoms then thats the way to go.
You can cut the cost by growing your own kefir from grains or youghurt from a starter culture. (google it)
Remember though that a cup of home grown is probably stronger than a whole pack of shop bought pills!
