Post FMT capsules

Postby dallase1 » Sat Feb 03, 2018 6:58 pm

I took 60 fecal capsules from Dr. Shepherd on Tuesday. I haven’t felt any better, and in some ways worse. Just feel nauseous, dizzy, tired, and have had a couple headaches since. Is this normal? I do not have much diarrhea but haven’t had much since I tested positive for C Diff. It makes it MUCH worse when I eat something as well. I have tested negative for literally about everything else.

Hi, not many posters on here have had FMT via capsules. Far more practitioners administer FMT via colonoscopy.
Were you on Vanco or Dificid up until 48 hours before the procedure? FMT is not perfect. It will stop C Diff recurrence at a success rate of 85-90% however many people have lots of digestive problems afterwards for some time.

Just tested negative for C Diff. I recommend it but it isn’t an instant fix. It takes time.
