Concerned about relapse

Postby AngelaB » Wed Apr 15, 2020 11:29 am

Can anyone provide information as to how this might affect someone who has recently recovered? I am still taking Florastor and afraid to stop. The volume of my stool is copious and I generally go twice in the morning. Not sure if this is the affect of the Florastor. I live in N.Y. which is the area of highest Covid cases. My last active infection was in December 2019. I am thinking the Dificid did the trick for me but always fearful of a relapse since I had quite a few of them. I have been having acid reflux and some tenderness in the top of my stomach area.

It doesn't really matter the quantity , color , smell of your stool .The main indicator that you are NOT dealing with the infection is the normal frequency. If the stool is formed is even better. You are more then three months out of your Cdiff episode , you should not think about relapses.
