Jim, I hope my post finds that you're still doing well.

A lady in my father's n home had a fecal transplant and it helped her. I too had the question that others have posted here--how do you know if the donated stool is healthy??? Correct me please if I'm wrong, but isn't it possible to be asymptomatic yet harbour spores in your intestinal tract, and that there is no way to test for spores, only toxins? Say I donated to my father, but I had happened to harbouring spores--wouldn't the possibility exist that I could either infect him all over again, OR even re-infect him with a DIFFERENT strain...?
