Well written but needs a couple of corrections.
Flagyl is no longer recomended as it results in too many relapses.
Studies say 30% relapse on flagyl but experiance here indicates it's much higher, probably closer to 50%.
If a Dr suggests using it ask them to check the latest guidlines.
Flagyl CAN cause c.diff, it's a wide spectrum antibiotic and causes considerable collateral damage.
No antibiotic is "safe" some are safer than others but all have risks.
C.diff diarrhea is not always yellow, it can range from clear or stained mucous through to yellow, green, brown red or black.
Black or red requires urgent medical advice.
Florestor should not be taken if you have blood in your stool.
If your colon wall in compromised (bleeding) florestor can cross into the bloodstream and cause a systemic yeast infection.
Liquid Vanco compounded from the powder used for IV is the same drug as pills but costs about $100.
If a Dr prescribes pills all the extra$$ is for the brand name.
Same goes for Firvanq it's a liquid vanco but branded so expensive.
