One of the lucky ones
I wanted to check in with everyone and update. I feel especially lucky that 6 weeks post treatment I am completely symptom free. I can eat and drink what I want now without exception. My digestive system seems better than it had been the past couple of years. I responded to one course of vanco and I am so grateful. I know this is a scary disease and it seems like all we find on the internet are the worst case scenarios. I hope to stay healthy and I truly hope that someone can read this and find hope and encouragement.

Well done, Aurora!
I imagine that you, and your entire family, are greatly relieved by your recovery from that nasty disease! You are very fortunate to have experienced a full recovery in such a short time.
My C-diff lasted six months, thru one round of the wretched Flagyl and two rounds of Vancomycin. I finally recovered after a round of dificid in Sept 2017. Though, unlike you, It took me quite a while to "fully" recover. C-diff left me very weak to the point I could not lift my legs up to put on my socks. Walking took quite an effort. It also took great effort to lift my legs up onto the toilet seat to dry them after a shower. I am so glad that those miserable days are gone!
Thanks for posting about your recovery.
Take care... Bob
