My cdiff success story

We spend a lot of time talking about the bad news in this discussion group - here's the spot for the good news. If you've had c-diff and are now well, please tell us about it here.

I watched about half the video. Jend did a good and thorough job of explaining. I believe she said she is a nurse. Check me on this.

MODERATOR'S NOTE:

We do not endorse any unusual treatment of c diff. Many have been offered on this site - including tumeric and oregano.

Perhaps, these individuals would have healed on their own.

Not "knocking" trying new things but do check medical resources first altho some of us have lost faith in the medical field.

I will watch the rest of the video tomorrow.

What is your impression?

Interesting.
Anyone viewing this must be made aware that the FIRST "treatment" for c.diff is stopping the offending antibiotic, often that is enough to cure it.
Your own immune system is designed to deal with it
If symptoms do not resolve shortly after discontinuing the offending antibiotic you should seek a Dr's advice.
That normally means mainstream meds.
C.diff can quickly become a life threatening disease if it's not treated correctly

I don't discredit that this natural treatment plan worked for Jennifer, but we don't know if it would work for everybody. C-diff can get very bad very quickly. To be completely honest, I personally would rather pop a pill than make and administer tumeric/iodine enemas, but that is just me. In the midst of my active c-diff infection, I could barely function, so I personally wouldn't have wanted to go this route. However, I do believe in some natural remedies. I have heard very good things about tumeric as well. But, I do think that natural remedies don't always cure, but can be of great assistance in the healing and recovery process. I hate taking meds, but there is a time and a place for when they are needed. I do think that for mild infections, this may be a good option to try though.

I personally think it's poor judgement to post a "home remedy" on Youtube. It can be dangerous for people who are newly diagnosed with CDIFF to think they will recover from self treatment. All patients diagnosed should be recommended to see a Gastroenterologist first.
The treatments we take and often "let others know about" in reference to ourselves are approved treatments.
I went on a DIficid Taper from a study which I found online that had been monitored by the FDA but the course had not been approved yet. For that reason, I never discuss with anyone the dosage I was on, it is not approved yet.
I don't think it's a good idea to have it on the site, it concerns me newly diagnosed people will think this is a "cure" for Cdiff and no proven research studies have been done that I am aware of.
As most of you know, I also am a nurse (30 yrs) and would never recommend treatment for what can be a very serious life threatening illness.

Amen Nancy.
Maybe being being an RN makes me too "scientific minded", but I am not opposed to all complimentary natural medicine especially as an adjunct when appropriate, but some things are potentially dangerous, especially when done in place of first line mainstream medicine in a serious, treatable illness.

I don't agree with " natural magic cures" either . People should be treated by knowledgeable specialist with proven treatments , not by Youtube!!
