Fingers crossed, My daughter is well!

We spend a lot of time talking about the bad news in this discussion group - here's the spot for the good news. If you've had c-diff and are now well, please tell us about it here.

Fingers crossed, My daughter is well!

Postby Prayingmother » Fri Mar 28, 2014 9:57 am

My 20yr old girl got Cdiff from taking an antibiotic back in August of 2013. After many rounds of meds and about 5 relapses, the thing that worked was a long, 8 week taper of Vancomycin.

She has not complained of symptoms now since late January.

and today she announced, "My poops are firm again."

Wow, music to a mother's ears, lol

It took a while to have normal bms.

I will stay in touch and update if anything changes.

Thank you so much for this board!

Congrats to you daughter and to you - a wonderful mother who suffered this disease along with her daughter - and tried to help - even when not wanted. Try to tell her (hard to tell "older kids" anything) to stay away from antibiotics if possible.

Hooray for you!
