Yellow stools

Since c-diff is a disease of the "lower half", so to speak, we find that many of our members cannot refrain from discussing what comes out the bottom end. If you must do it, please do it here.

Yellow stools

Postby mistygirl » Mon May 05, 2008 2:08 pm

Does anyone have yellow stools, that actually turn the toilet water yellow? I did 10 days of flagyl and now 10 of vancomycin. Also, 5 days of diflucan for yeast infection. My stool colors have gone through an odyssey of colors, so not sure if I should be concerned.

Everyone with cdiff experiences a variety of colors. Yellow is caused by rapid transit through your system. Nothing to worry about. Anytime you have frequency several times per day......always yellow in most people. Do not worry about color as it means nothing unless it is black or rust which could mean blood. Hang in there.
