colon damage?

Since c-diff is a disease of the "lower half", so to speak, we find that many of our members cannot refrain from discussing what comes out the bottom end. If you must do it, please do it here.

colon damage?

Postby graceee » Wed Dec 05, 2007 10:18 pm

How common is it to have some colon damage after c-diff? DXed with c-diff after a year of diarrhea, took flagyl and cleared (?), but could colon be damaged in any way?
Thanks

gracee,
Wouldn't worry about it. Although some of us (about l out of 5) wind up with IBS, it's minor compared to C. diff. Few cases of C. diff. wind up with something more serious. If in doubt, do ask your GI.
