Alright. So my doc bumped me back up to Vanco 4x for a week as my stools got looser and very frequent this time once I dropped to 3x. Also was fighting off a viral sinus infection, not sure if that made my C Diff worse and caused my upset stomach over the last few days.
My last two times with this monster, my stools went back to brown with some yellow when wiping. And then back to normal and brown by the end of my Vanco.
This time...my stools are staying light brown/orange and neon yellow or orange when wiping. Long and thin stools, mostly formed. Does that mean anything?? Should I be worried that the color is not going back to normal? It is reeeeally freaking me out! It's making me feel like I'm not making any progress and that the color is screaming that the infection is still there and not going anywhere :( The yellow and orange color is always a tip off for me of relapse and I just want it to go away so that I can at least mentally feel like the meds are working. Is it normal for it to not go away at all? Scared that the Vanco is gonna fail me now, when the last two times it did great and it was outside circumstances that caused my relapses. Really need some reassurance (nothing out of the ordinary with me, I know)

Normal!
Nothing much else to add.
Stop looking in the pan!
Anything but watery D is normal.

If is formed , is great , don't worry about the color unless is tarry black. And , agree with Roy , try not to examine every BM it will drive you nuts!

Re: yellow and orange - heeeelp!
Vancomycin made my stools yellow. They were not yellow before I took the vanco. It kills off certain bacteria and perhaps that is the reason - an altered flora. When I did FMT, the color went back to brown. I would not worry about it. The vanco is killing the c diff, which is what it is supposed to do. All medications have side effects (if you can even call this a side effect). If it bothers you that much, ask your doctor. Mine told me it was fast transit time, but I'm pretty sure in my case it was the medication.

Orange/yellow color along with thin stools is typical in recovery. As the others said, don't worry about the color, unless it's red or black, which indicates blood. It sounds like you are having a normal recovery.
By the way, I'm 2 years out, and still on the yellow side. I think it may just be a new normal after c-diff for me. Or I wonder if it's from the probiotics. Regardless, my doctor told me don't worry about it unless there is blood.

Mostly formed is the key phrase here. That is better than many of us during recovery!
PI IBS causes many different kinds of stool that are not even formed so you are doing great.
As everyone else told you don't worry about color, shape or size. If it's not watery get up and get out of the bathroom!

My stool stayed orange on vancomycin... it is working. Have a little faith! Your mind wreaks havoc on your body. You've got to believe you'll get better!

Thank you everyone!! The reassurance means a lot. So many ups and downs every single day while battling this monster. I hope that you all are well and in recovery. I know not everyone is of the same faith but every single one of you on this site are in my prayers every single day to beat C Diff and never have to deal with it again, and for continued recovery. Thank you for being there for me. You all are really the only support I have left. Everyone else has given up on me because they don't understand C Diff. I know I post on here frequently and feel bad for those that I annoy, but that it why. You all keep me sane. <3

Re: yellow and orange - heeeelp!
I agree with all of you about the color. When I first got sick in January and saw the yellow fluid and orange stools, I thought I was going crazy. After many trips to ER which didn't even do a stool culture on me, the diagnosis came back it was my nerves. It took forever for my gastro to do a stool test which was positive. I feel like you as if I drive people crazy. It is now the end of September and I have had a couple rounds of Flagyl and several rounds of Vanco this year. My stools are over the place from constipation to loose stool. Yesterday I went many times but it wasn't watery D. Just know you are not alone and if It wasn't for these good people on this board I think I would loose my mind. Also, my gastro that I had joked that he was going to take me up the road (which is a mental hospital). I did not find much humor in it. I have an appointment with a doctor who is a specialist in C Diff. If I am going to have to battle with this stuff, I would like someone who will listen to me.
