Constant pain in anal area /almost hrly to eliminate

Been taking flagyl 14 days no help . Worse
Now. Just started liquid vancromyicn today.
Anything I can do about bad cramping
In anal area and constaint urge to eliminate
But mostly I get clear pus or brown pus
Like every two hours?

If Flagyl had no effect at all then its unlikley that c.diff is causing your symptoms.
I would be asking the Drs to investigate further as what you describe is not typical of a c.diff infection.
It sounds like you mean your passing mucus not pus.
C.diff can cause that but if it did not improve on flagyl and if its still there after 3-4 days of vanco they need to take a closer look at whats causing it.

The constant urge and pain in anal area sounds more like a proctitis.It can be a infectios proctitis (with CDiff) but you should check with your doctor.Maybe he can recommend a rectosigmoidoscopy.

Thanks everyone. Vancromyicin helped me seven years ago . I amGoing to give this a try then get an appointment with a GI specialist to follow for other complications
Do most see diff patient see GI doctors or I'D doctors ?

I think it's good to be under the care of a GI doctor. However, if you have several relapses or a complicated case with other health issues, having an ID doctor on board can be a good idea. I went to an ID doctor as a second opinion to my GI doctor after I relapsed.
