Can cutting back Florastor cause a relapse?

Since c-diff is a disease of the "lower half", so to speak, we find that many of our members cannot refrain from discussing what comes out the bottom end. If you must do it, please do it here.

So do we ever get rid of the spores or are we forever carriers?

My GI says we kick them out after awhile but there is not any concensus on this. I don't think they know. Some people are carriers but don't get sick so until they figure out what causes some people to not be able to overcome the spores germinating in the gut we will always have people that relapse. They are close to a cure in my opinion with all the research for a vaccine and a cure and I believe it will be in the next few years. This is what I pray for.
