From the UK. This isn't as bizarre as it sounds. With their health care system (NHS), many patients are put in wards with various different contagious diseases. No wonder there are so many cases of C. diff. in the UK.
Even though our health care system is far from perfect, we are lucky compared to many countries. When I had food poisoning in the UK a year ago, I refused to go to the hospital for fear of what else I would "catch" there. If feel the same way here, but at I am fortunate to have health insurance that permits a private room.
