News from Canada
Bobbie, I just looked at that news report you listed the sight for. I know I got my c.difficile from a hospital yet the consensus seems to be that I cannot sue the hospital. I live in Canada and this does not seem fair at all. I am going to call the ombudsman at the hospital tomorrow and see what advice they have for me.
I have previously been told it will be difficult to proved that I got it from my stay in their hospital. This is insane. There have been just too many outbreaks to suggest otherwise!!!
I will let you know what they say. I still need to deal with Doc who messed up on my supposed outpatient procedure called an ERCP where they were to have placed me with an pancreatic stent. But guess what??? The nurse put the stent upside down which caused damage to my pancreas reasulting in pancreatitis, which led to hospital stay with antiobiotics and voila....c. difficile. A double whammy.
