This article also appeared in The KC Star. It has some great info. Bottom line is still "Wash your hands and make sure your health care providers do the same thing."

It is a start but I can see loop holes in it. What about the patients who have an outpatient surgery, like I did, and the symptoms start a week after and they go mis diagnosed? I can see some people slipping under the radar, like in my case. I did however contact a patient advocate at the hospital I had my surgery at. I have left messages for them before with no response but this time I e-mailed them. we will see.
