Postby Christina » Thu Mar 16, 2006 11:35 am

I found this at my county health Dept. website. It is a map of states with outbreaks of c-diff.If you search the website you can view the reporting forms and other info. as to how Ohio is tracking c-diff cases.

Thanks, Christina. I'm going to Topeka on March 31 to an amendment hearing of the legislature to try and get C. diff. added as a reportable infectious disease, and some of this info. will be helpful although Dr. McDonald sent me some of it. Kansas lists over 50 mandated reported diseases, and C. diff. isn't one. Even the states with mandated reporting have loopholes so stats. don't reflect number of actual cases.

Frankly, I doubt if this will do much good, but it will be "part of the record" so might help in the future.
