docs in CA

Postby speedo7 » Mon Jun 18, 2007 3:43 pm

Hi folks. I found this group to be excellent and helped prep me in asking the right questions for the docs. My wife was diagnosed with cdiff and it reocurred after 14 days of vanco so she is back on vanco. The GI seems to be knowldegable to a point but is not an "expert. I would like to know if anyone knows of a really strong cdiff or infectious disease specialist in southern california near Irvine, Laguna Niguel, San Juan Capistrano, Mission Viejo.

Thanks. Feel free to respond direct as well. I appreciate the help. David

Welcome to the site. Read the first forum ALL USERS READ THIS FIRST & its subtopics. They will guide you in using the site & answer some of the most frequent questions. Read Dr. Borody’s & Dr. McDonald’s articles and the areas in FAQ that interest you – especially FAQ-Hygiene, Nutrition, & Testing.

Let's hope you are one of the lucky ones who recover with one to two rounds of Flagyl or Vanco. If antibiotics contributed to your C. diff., be careful about taking them again. (See FAQ-Antibiotics.)

Check Doctors re. CA. Don't see any listed there, but some on board might have recommendations.

Let us know how you are doing.
