I wasn't exactly sure where to post this so feel free to move it if need be.
If anyone here has become extremely interested in the overuse of antibiotics and antibiotic resistance like I have since having had C-diff, I wanted to share a book that I am currently reading. It's very technical but very, very good.
It's called The Antibiotic Paradox - How the Misuse of Antibiotics Destroys Their Curative Powers by Stuart B. Levy, MD of Tufts University in Boston.
It talks about the history of antibiotics, how resistance is acquired, the use of antibiotics in animals/pets, the use of antibiotics in animal feed and for growth as well and how all of this leads to antimicrobial resistance. It also talks about the future of antibiotics.
Just thought I'd share it as I'm finding it quite fascinating.
For those Interested in Antimicrobial Resistance
