Lauren- Thanks for the article. I was tested for the genetic marker and it was negative as well as the test for rheumatoid factors. It appears that the reactive arthiritis (caused by bacterial infection within your body) can show only high inflammation in the bloodwork. According to the rheumatologist that I am seeing it is highly aggressive and can cripple if not dealt with in a timely manner. I am seeking another opinion prior to taking the chemo however. When it rains it pours and it has been hailing at my house now since 2001!
