Has anyone had any experience with Fidaxomicin for C Diff treatment?
If so, what is your opinion.

Re: Fidaxomicin - any advice?
I relapsed three times, once after Flagyl and twice after Vancomycin. I was completely cured of C-diff after ten days on Dificid (Fidaxomicin). I also took a bunch of probiotics, especially 1¼ grams (25 billion cells) of saccharomyces boulardii while on Dificid.

Re: Fidaxomicin - any advice?
In my case Dificid is what saved me. I had CDIFF for a year, relapses after Flaygl, Vanco and 3 month Vanco taper.
I did relapse after 10 days of Dificid. Went on a Dificid taper. There are several on the site that were on a 30 day Dificid taper with great success. I am not aware of anyone failing a Dificid taper since I have been on the site starting in 2014.

Re: Fidaxomicin - any advice?
Thank you so much for this feedback.
I am about to finish Flagyl round and am still having symptons - whether it is caused by the Flagyl or the C Diff, I'm not sure.
I want to be well versed on options when I see my GI doc.
Again, much appreciated advice!

Good luck to you going forward. I too used Dificid and it worked wonderfully. I tried vancomyicin and did not feel well or do well with it.
The Dificid worked very well with no side effects. I hope it does the trick for you also.
