Re: Aerobics
Bobbie: That is fantastic! Keep it up girl. I'm a firm believer in exercise for the body and the mind (plus it keeps joints supple and muscles toned). I do at least a little exercise every morning and I don't feel quite right if I miss a day. I think it's what has kept me alive this long.
Take care and aloha,
Anne

Re: Aerobics
Awesome! There is research that exercise boosts the immune system. I did a one hour bike ride yesterday.
Congrats!

Re: Aerobics
Am doing better but am so tired. Whenever I sit down, I fall asleep. Probably two surgeries in 9 months, moving, damage from the move, and worry over younger son - who has always had many problems. Also, I am old - altho I never felt old until recently. I would like a new life - wouldn't we all?

Re: Aerobics
You said it Bobbie , you have been trough alot , moving to a new house , surgery , stress and anxiety, so it's normal to feel tired. Rest , do things you like doing , eat well and you will recover. Hope your tummy is better.
You won't get a new life :) , accept the one you have and you have to live for the moment, each and every day . . . the here, the now!

Finally!!!
A lot really has been happening while I am away. Glad I checked in.
You are one tough lady, old or young....age is just a number. That's what I keep telling myself.

Bobbie, I'm so happy for you!! Being tired is certainly understandable. You've been through a lot! Excercising is great but be sure you get some rest too! It's great you're feeling better! XOXO!!!

Re: Aerobics
Bobbie: I feel ya lady! A couple of old broads trying to keep all the joints, muscles and brain from atrophy. We seem to be on a similar trajectory. I also have two kids. My son - terrific (wonderful dad and husband and hard worker). My daughter - mentally fragile with lots of issues. I feel that if I don't exercise every day and take internet classes, my body and brain will freeze up. Aging is like swimming upstream - a struggle just to maintain a strong body and brain that gets harder every year. But, sometimes you need to listen to your body and rest. Take care my friend.
Aloha,
Anne

Re: Aerobics
I turned 70 this summer and I am still working for the social aspects and to keep my brain active. I have not done so well this summer with exercise . I like to walk outside and it has been mostly around 90 degrees or higher, so I have not done much walking. Last Friday (my day off) we finally had one comfortable day and my husband and I went on a bike ride. I did have trouble keeping up with him. When I complained that most of the other couples/family groups were riding together, he answered "I can't ride that slowly, I'll fall over." (But he was exaggerating - I wasn't riding that slowly). And I was tired the next day (but not sore).
