test results

Postby tonia » Tue Jul 26, 2016 5:08 pm

My test was negative. I almost fell out of my chair. The symptoms I am having, I would have bet my husbands motorcycle that it would be positive. Waiting to here if doc will test for other nasties that I may have picked up. SOMETHING is definitely not right in there. Feels way beyond "just a little bug"

Very HAPPY it was negative!! I actually felt the same way twice and thought it would be positive! Both times, negative.
Hopefully they tested you for other things also.

You should have asked to be tested for other pathogens as well. Glad your test was negative. Hopefully whatever this is that your are dealing with now , will clear up soon!

Ask the doctor to test for other bacteria with a stool culture and run the tests for ova and parasites and giardia. There are also some tests for viruses. I know they ran that in ER for me once, but I don't know the name of that one. I had campylobacter after c diff and the symptoms were almost identical. Luckily, that did not need to be treated with antibiotics, but some bacteria do need treatment. Best to check. You don't want to get yourself run down.

Congrats on the negative test, but so sorry you aren't feeling well still. I hope you get to the bottom of things and feel better soon.
