OMG I am soooo sick. I have been travelling to the potty 13 times already today. It's a short trip, but feels like 10 miles of walking barefoot. I think I will be phoning the specialist tomorrow if this keeps up. Does apple juice make one "trot"??? I had a few small glasses of apple juice yesterday because the water was not cutting the thirst. Oh well, life goes on!

You can eat the apple fruit but the juice dehydrates. I read about apple sauce with the BRAT diet but it said "no" apple juice. vanco should be working now shouldn't it?
Take care!

I believe apple juice can give you D..When my kids would get Rotovirus(all of the time) the Pedie said no applejuice.I'm not sure why applesauce is Ok with the BRAT diet and what the difference is.Maybe lay off the apple juice today and see if you're better tomorrow.

I forgot that I ran out of Florastor and have not been taking it for two days, as I can't afford to replace it until Wednesday night. Perhaps this is part of what is going on with me. It is sometimes difficult to come up with the $50.00 needed for the "meds" that are not covered by insurance. I have no idea, but it is still happening and I did NOT have any apple juice yesterday. This morning I have already gone 3 times and I have only been up for an hour. The cramps are the worst though, even my back is aching. And life goes on........

Hope you feel better by the end of the day. Are you open to doing the infusions? You are in Canada, isn't there doctors who do it there? Perhaps you could ask daughter or boyfriend to be a donor?
My Culturelle hasn't arrived, lately i've been crampy now i'm thinking is because i haven't had the probiotic for 2 weeks. I still take Reuteri.
Take care, hang on.

Knitter,
Once again the waiting game? Tiresome, isn't it. Others are right -- apple juice is dehyrating but applesauce okay.

If this keeps on, call doc. Don't we all wish we'd never heard of C. dif.?

C. Diff.? what is that? I just have a "shitty" outlook on life, hehehe.

I would be willing to do the infusions, if I could find someone here in Canada that agreed that I was in need. Right now my ID thinks I should weather the storm and just keep trying to taper now and then. I will be seeing her at the end of March again to discuss this, unless I get worse and have to see her before then.

No more apple juice for me, it's back to gingerale and gatorade diluted with bottled water.

Waiting game? My whole life is a waiting game. Right now I am waiting to go bankrupt, waiting to have the collection calls stop, waiting to see if I will ever work again, waiting for the diarrhea to stop, waiting to feel better, waiting to see if I can afford the Florastor this week, waiting to see if my daughter will get any better so her child can go home to her, reading (which is a waiting game to see what happens at the end of the book) and knitting (which is a waiting game to see if the pattern will work the way it says and if it will fit the person it is intended for).

And life goes on..... DO I SOUND DEPRESSED??? moi? never!

Knitter,
I'd call doc. and explain how ill you are. Perhaps you shouldn't try tapering until you see her.

C. diff.= depression. Sometimes the disease attracts a bunch of other "stuff."

I am waiting for resuls of second UTI culture. Finished Macroid last week and have symptoms agan. Am getting over resp. infection and decreasing asthma meds. One now has a "black box" warning. Why two infections at once? Is it something I ate? Something I said?

My internist is sick -- for the second time this month. She should have listened to me when I told her she should wash her hands more. (I'm sure this endeared me to her.)

Both my grandkids are sick. This is a terriblly selfish thing to say, but I'm glad they don't live here. My younger son still hasn't "found" himself. I wish he'd hurry. I've been waiting for 32 years (including my pregnancy which was high risk.) My 89-year-old mother is having problems. Just call us MS Fix-It but can't fix ourselves.

Should we run away? You pick it -- I'll follow. How about a beach with lots of porta potties and cleaning equipment. Remember the "Calgon, take me away" commericals?

Cheer up. You will get over this. More and more new info. "out there" and more info. on infusions. You're a fighter, but you've had a lot of stress.

Wait until you finish THE book. I cried big time.

Knitter- Apple juice or pure grape juice give me the same reaction and it takes 2 days to clear out of my system. I get the same results when I eat chocolate. Hang in there most likely it will clear up!

Forgot to say if there is any running away........count me in! Between daycare episode and stupid doctors not calling due to results not being available of MRI (which were done a week ago today) I am nearing the point of RUNNING AWAY and never looking back. Except of course the ole foot will not participate in the run.........think I could use a skateboard???

Cindy: I'll let you borrow my grandson's scooter. That should get us where we can afford to go! I am back to bottled water again.

Bobbie: I did finish the book. I posted but I guess you missed it. I read, I laughed, I cried, I enjoyed, but did not forget about C. Diff. Quite the book though. I could not put it down. Very entertaining. He is a good writer. I hope he writes more books.

I was able to get my Florastor Wednesday night and the D has slowed down considerably. I still feel "crappy" but not "shitty" LOL!

I am a reader. I am currently working my way through Pulitzer prize winners for fiction, all years. Read kiterunner in a few hours, good book. One of my favorites is, A Confederacy of Dunces, Author: John Kennedy Toole. Read it, you will love it. Should be in your local library. I just finished , The executioner's Song, Author: Mailer. Good but depressing. Now reading short stories by Katherine Anne Porter. Better. Please share your favorite books and authors with me, I am always looking for a good read.

Right now I am reading William Horwood's Duncton Tales Volume I & II. I got them at the library. It is a good read if you like fiction and a sweet little tale. The reviews say it rivels Lord of the Rings, but as yet I don't see that. I'll keep reading though, as it has my attention. Good luck!

Husband had read the Lord of the Ring books years before they came out with the movies. He is a major sci fi freak. He watches and used to collect boxes and boxes of Star Wars figures until one day we needed money and i made him sell it on ebay. Got a couple Thousand from it. I never seen 1 Star War movie, or Lord of the Rings or Star Trek movie. It's funny he can watch a movie over and over like it's the first time he is watching them (indiana jones) as for me, when i watch something i can't watch it again for years because i loose interest.

You ask me what does this gotta do with reading? Nothing....
I just got up early, it's the weekend but can't sleep in anymore. I've been pinching husband to wake up but it's not working. urgh!
