The House
We sold the house!!!!! After two days of living in House Beautiful, I can return to my former messy ways. We had 13 or 14 showings. Several didn't show up. Hope everything works out. I have learned to hope for the best but accept the unexpected. A nap sounds so good - for me.

Congrats on the house sale. When do you move into your new place?

Dont start packing untill the buyer cant pull out!
I reckon you will throw away tons of stuff that you have not seen for years and then Don will go and get it back out of the trash:-)

Yes, nervous about deal going through. Was a realtor years ago,and some deals fall through.
Don is the "thrower away." I am the retriever.
Fingers crossed for everything going well but I am so familiar with Murphy's Law. Hope for the best; anticipate the worst.

Re: The House
You and me should be soul mates!
We had a lot if work done last year and cleared out most of the house.
Decided to hire a skip last week to clear out the shed where most of the "usefull stuff" went
Linda put my concrete turtle that was missing 2 legs into the skip.
Now thats going too far!
I have a real living one that weighs about 25 pound so raked out the concrete one for old times sake.
Linda then put a hammer through it and turned it into dust!
Our daughter bought us a real one 4 years ago and it was about an ounce.
Its going to live 150 years and be 300+ pound!
She thought that was funny.
I am going to leave it to her in my will.

Re: The House
WOW! That was fast. Congrats. I've been left behind in transfers twice to sell the house during bad economic downturns. Once it took 9 months, the last was in 2008 and it took 1.5 years. This last time we moved I said no more and pointed to the backyard and said that was where the ashes were going! In retrospect I guess that was cdiff humor. I don't know which I would dread worse, a relapse or having to list another house. I guess a relapse, but the choice isn't an immediate slam dunk.I am so happy for you Bobby. Fingers crossed all goes smoothly.

Congratulations. Sometimes realtors will take back up offers too, in case the first one falls through. How long of an escrow did they ask for?
