You're right it is neverending, especially as we get older. However, there are a lot of blood pressure medications out there and I'm sure that they will find one that is right for you. I take a beta blocker, which is good for some, but there are other kinds, some with diuretics, which you might not want after what happened. You can tell the doctor you want a low dose to start to see how you do - you can always increase it if you don't get any side effects. Pretty soon your body will get used to it. I couldn't take diuretics either - my jaw locked up on me if you can believe that. Must have dehydrated me or something - but I could barely open my mouth.
