Can I get rid of C-diff by just using an enema with Kefir in it and shooting it up in my colon? I mean, lots of good bacteria in kefir and I can't tolerate it going down so why not the enema route?

Re: Kefir Enema
NO NO NO
Could even be very dangerous.
No probiotics are natural residents in the colon.
We take them and they are gone again in 72 hours at the most.
They do not colinise the gut but they take up temporary residence in the place that c.diff likes to live.
You have to take them daily to maintain their effectivness.
What you suggest has been reasearched fully and been found to be of no use.

Re: Kefir Enema
An old poster said she did yogurt enemas and wound up with a fever for a few days, so I wouldn't experiment.
